Angkor Sunrise

On this private trip, you’ll experience the incredible contrast between ancient and modern in two of Southeast Asia’s most exciting countries. Start in Siem Reap, the gateway to the UNESCO-listed temple complex around Angkor Wat. You’ll have plenty of time to explore its incredible temples - even flying high above them by helicopter (optional), as well as exploring the countryside and discovering the unique way of life in floating villages.

Cambodia

Cambodia

Afterwards, you’ll head for Vietnam to taste Hanoi’s incredible street food, visit its sprawling markets and explore by Soviet-era motorbike, before heading to magical Halong Bay: you’ll cruise its tranquil waters on an overnight trip by traditional Vietnamese junk boat, trying your hand at night fishing with the locals and waking up to a stunning sunrise over the water. Your next few days are devoted to relaxation on the beautiful beaches of Phu Quoc.

Phu Quoc

A quintessential island paradise, home to unspoilt beaches, calm crystal-clear waters and an abundance of rare and unique marine life. Half of the island is a protected national park featuring waterfalls, coral reefs, wetlands and mountains. The pace of life here is slow with sleepy fishing villages dotted along the coast. Whether you want to relax on the beach, hike to a spectacular waterfall or get up close and personal with some green turtles, you’ll feel blissfully refreshed after six days in this tropical oasis.

Cambodia

Phu Quoc Sunset

Then it's onwards to your final stop, Ho Chi Minh, exploring its sights and districts by Vespa before speed boating to the Cu Chi tunnels, once the hideout of the Viet Cong. Then homeward bound, feeling refreshed and inspired by the wonders of these beautiful countries and their charming people.

For the ultimate overview, there is the option to add a helicopter flight over the temples.

During your day of rigorous temple explorations, you will pass by the Srah Srang baray or reservoir (Royal baths during the ancient Khmer Empire) where you can enjoy a private and relaxing picnic lunch in a charming Khmer village timber house, far away from the crowds. Post meal, an optional foot massage or other therapies will soothe your temple-hopping feet before you visit the jungle-covered Ta Prohm, which had a starring role in Tomb Raider. Your trip will end around 5pm. This evening, relax or book the optional action-packed, circus-style performance courtesy of Phare Ponleu Selpak, an NGO founded to give artistic training to poor young Cambodians.

After this, there’s the option to take a less touristy approach to the city, and be picked up from your hotel and whisked through its maze of narrow back streets and alleys riding pillion on a Soviet-era Minsk motorcycle (approx. 3 hours).
