Touch down in the Russian capital and you’ll be taken to your hotel by private transfer. The evening is yours to relax and acclimatise, ready for an action-packed day tomorrow.

Day Two: The best of the city!
Get set for a day of adventure in the capital of the Russian Federation, where ancient monuments rub shoulders with futuristic skyscrapers. Over the course of the morning, you’ll discover its major sites alongside your private guide, taking in the Kremlin, Victory Park, the White House, the pedestrianised shopping street of Arblat and much more. Break for a traditional lunch at a Russian restaurant, before setting out on foot to discover Red Square up close. They’ll be plenty of time for pictures as you discover the Kremlin Walls, Lenin’s Tomb, St Basil’s Cathedral, Resurrection Gate, the famous GUM department store and the Russian State Historical Museum, then spend some time strolling through neighbouring Alexander Garden, packed with intricate architectural monuments.

Day Three: Going underground
At the start of the day it’s time to explore Russias’ shadowy past as you visit a top secret nuclear bunker, built on Stalin’s orders for governmental VIPs. Located 65 metres below the ground, it makes the perfect setting to find out more about the Cold War and the nuclear threat. Afterwards, you’ll head to the Russian Armed Forces Museum, to see its huge collection of military memorabilia, including weapons, uniforms and vehicles. Have lunch at a typical restaurant, then hop on the metro and head slightly out of the city to Izmailovo Kremlin. Here, at a typical Russian farmstead, you’ll find museums centred on vodka, chocolate, bread and Russian toys, as well as lively markets, all housed in brightly-decorated traditional Russian buildings. You’ll have time to pick up some souvenirs, before enjoying a tour and tasting in the vodka museum. Finish your day with dinner at an international restaurant.

Day Four: Goodbye Moscow
After breakfast, it’s time for your private transfer back to the airport, ready for your flight back to the UK.
