Day One: Arrival in Tanzania
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro airport, you’ll be met and transferred to Arusha, the lively town that’s the gateway to Tanzania’s top safari spots. The rest of the day is yours to relax: perhaps you’ll eat at one of its great restaurants, haggle for souvenirs among the Technicolour stalls of the Maasai Market, or simply take in the incredible views of Mount Meru (the country’s second highest peak) rising above the town.

Day Two: Friendly Elephants and Tree-climbing Cats
It’s a quick drive from Arusha to one of Tanzania’s best game-viewing areas, the empty plains and busy waters of Lake Manyara National Park. Spend the afternoon on your first Tanzanian private game drive here, seeking out 100 different bird species, as well as giraffe, impala, zebra, hippo and the park’s famous tree-climbing lions. Huge herds of elephant trundle past the vehicles, and there’s a hippo pool thronged with large, muddy residents. Spend the night in the national park, before moving onwards tomorrow.

Day Three: Make for the Migration
Make for your home for the next two nights: either the Serengeti, a protected area that’s home to the oldest ecosystem in the world or, if you travel between December and March, the sweeping grasslands of Ndutu, where the Serengeti meets the Ngorongoro Crater. Your base has been chosen as the very best place to see the wildebeest migration up close, but first you’ll set off on a private game drive across the sprawling flat landscape, seeking out lion, cheetah, leopard and hyena. Savour dinner and a night’s sleep under the huge, star-packed African sky.
Overnight in Serengeti National Park or Ndutu
Premium - Ang'ata Serengeti Camp/Ang'ata Migration Camp
Meals included: Breakfast; lunch; dinner

Day Four: On the Move
Today is devoted to private game drives geared to seeing the migration up close. Setting out from your camp, you have the choice of either one morning and one evening drive, or a full day with picnic lunch in order to maximise viewing time. Race through the countryside on the hunt for wildebeest and watch as they trail in a great mass on their migration. You’ll need plenty of space on your camera to capture this once in a lifetime sight.

Day Five: On to Ngorongoro
Start your day early, on the hunt for big cats before they retreat from the blazing heat of the day. After your morning private game drive, you’ll leave the Serengeti or Ndutu, bound for the Ngorongoro Crater. Formed three million years ago by a volcanic explosion, its lush, fertile landscape is a haven for many types of wildlife – rhino, prides of lion and cheetah are regularly spotted. Settle in and enjoy dinner at your camp, situated right on the rim of the crater.

Day Six: Into the Crater
Time to descend into the crater, to search out the lion, rhino, cheetah and many other wildlife species easily spotted within its walls. After a morning private game drive, you’ll enjoy a picnic lunch overlooking the hippo pond, where you can spot these gigantic animals as their heads bob above the water. Then you’ll begin the drive to back to Arusha and Kilimanjaro Airport, ready for your flight to Zanzibar.
Upon arrival at Zanzibar airport around 6pm (flight 7.45pm), you will be met and transferred to Ocean Paradise Resort for check-in. With the rest of the day to relax, you can settle in and take in the stunning landscape around you. During your stay breakfast and dinner are included.
